In April of 2008, Rich Bromley, James Maggs and Shane Tremlin found themselves in the midst of a defunct project, but their love of music and their ideas forced them to seek another guitarist and complete their new line-up. A local website ad proved successful and after numerous responses, there was one that seemed to shine above the others.

Lloyd Cowling was the first and last guitarist they met. Bristol’s oldest pub, The Hatchet, where they would later make their debut live performance, was the venue of choice for their first meeting. When the barman said “you guys must be in a band”, they knew they had found their man. Parrington Jackson was born.

The four of them gelled immediately, not only as musicians but as friends. They have forged a style that can only be described as engaging, but one that ranges from fast paced and energetic, to deep and thought inspiring. With their willingness to experiment with style and sounds, they capture their audience and don’t let go.

With a wide range of influences, the music speaks for itself and there is no hidden agenda, just four guys writing and playing music as they would want to hear it.
