New Rhodes
New Rhodes were formed in Bristol in the autumn of 2001. After a couple of temporary drummers, the line-up of the band was finalised in the summer of 2003 when Steve Bishop (previously of Redefine) joined James Williams (vocals/guitar), Joe Gascoigne (guitar) and Jack Ashdown (bass/backing vocals), as the band’s permanent drummer.
Less than a year after they formed and whilst still only teenagers, they played two nights at Glastonbury on the Leftfield Stage. Now, still only in their early twenties, the band is taking the live circuit in the UK by storm.
In addition to headlining in their own right they have supported the likes of Razorlight, The Dears, Delays, Hope of the States, The Killers, The Gliteratti, and The Futureheads and recently completed a triumphant sell out UK tour as main support for Bloc Party.
